Archie and Veronica continue to grow closer. Betty is tired of her family acting as if nothing has happened and confronts her mother. Jughead finds himself in an unexpected situation, leaving Archie and the gang scrambling. Hermione makes Fred an offer that seems too good to be true. K.J Apa broke his hand on the set of this episode in a scene where he is trying to break ice with his fist.

A student carries a sign saying "Riverdale Jubillee ... 75 more years of Pep !'. Archie Comics, publisher of Archie and behind Riverdale, is currently celebrating their 75th anniversary (2017) - and "Pep Comics" was the title of their original published comic.

When Jughead says at the beginning of this episode "And he would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for a group of pesky kids who uncovered the truth". This is a reference to Scooby Doo and the team.

The line Veronica uses at the end of the episode, "Archie, the man who saved the cheerleader and saved the town" references to "save the cheerleader, save the world" a quote famous from the series 'Heroes'.

During the scene when Archie breaks the ice to save Cheryl, K.J Apa actually broke his hand, therefore Archie during the last few scenes is wearing a cast.

Veronica calls Betty "B" following confessing that she and Archie are involved. This is a homage to Gossip Girl Serena and Blair who called each other "S" and "B". The Actress playing Veronica has said she mirrors this character after Blair.

The handgun used by the Angel of Death character is a CZ75 in 9mm Luger, with a polished chrome finish.
