Short summary
Steve comments on Karen's warmth and gentleness while treating an injured little girl. Karen and Steve debate whether or not a person can learn to love. Nick explains to Althea why he's completely convinced of Matt's innocence, but Althea strongly urges him to forget it because Maggie isn't ready to accept the truth. Steve eavesdrops on Nick's attempt to convince Maggie that she's wrong. Althea blows up at Nick for being a bull in a china shop with his approach.
