Short summary

Ben Belding is driving a herd of cattle to Laramie with his daughter, Meg. When Tip White, one of the hands, shows interest in Meg, Ben drives him off. Ben's wife left him years ago and since then has kept his daughter on a tight leash. Meg has had enough and leaves the drive and goes to the Birdcage where she asks Lily for a job and states she is looking for a husband. She is 22 so her father no longer has say in what she does. Tip arrives and their romance resumes and at the same time some of the other hands let Ben know where his daughter is working causing him to try to take her back. Troop stops him and sends him home with Johnny as an escort but he escapes and returns for Meg who has married Tip with Lily and Troop's assistance.

This was Susan Morrow's 36th and final film/television credited role.

Curiously, this was the first of only three credited roles for Dermot Cathie from 1960 to 1967.
