Short summary
Gildy tries to impress a woman with his poetry composition skills and accidentally plagiarizes a famous poem.
Gildersleeve's girlfriend loves poetry, so he writes a sonnet for her. Leroy and Marjorie get a look at it before he gives it to her, decide it's so bad, they replace it with "How Do I Love Thee?". So impressed with it, his girl invites him to show more of "his" works at a formal reading.
