Short summary

A shamed Japanese banker ritualistically kills himself, and McGarrett wants to know why. McGarrett demands answers from a prominent financial consultant, played by guest star Ossie Davis, and the deceased's assistant when Five-O discovers the pair are involved in an international swindle.

This program has apparently been removed from the latest (2018) syndication reissue of the series.

The title is based on the term Seppuku, or a Japanese ritual suicide by falling on one's sword, usually reserved only for samurai and extremely honored persons who wish to die voluntarily and with honor rather than at the hands of their enemies.
