Gimeno has to operate on his ex-wife and saves her life in a complicated intervention with Rai. This one will be the tutor of the new resident, a young doctor called Jose. Claudia and Carlos celebrate that she is pregnant and later Maca finds out that they are expecting twins. Maca asks Esther not to be so cold with her, while her other ex-partner, Vero, spends her last day in the hospital. Fernando and Sofía attend a case that reminds her of a personal experience and the SAMUR team attends a rapist who has amputated his penis himself.

This is Carolina Cerezuela's last appearance as Vero.

Sara Casasnovas joins the cast as Jose.

Maca mentions that many of the characters that abandoned the series have phoned asking for Héctor: Dávila (Lluís Marco), Aimé (Nacho Fresneda), Laura (Diana Palazón) and his ex-partners Gabriela (Marta Solaz) and Susana (Tamara Arias).

Carlos says that Vero loves tennis, in a reference to Carolina Cerezuela's relationship with tennis player Carlos Moyá.
