» » The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp Doc Fabrique's Greatest Case (1955–1961)

Short summary

Shotgun is holding Dr. McCarty hostage in his office wanting McCarty to look at his sick mule Roscoe but McCarty wants to attend to his human patients. Earp intervenes convincing McCarty to take a quick look. He tells them the mule smells like he drunk rum. Since the mule has a fever, they try to cool him with a wet blanket and ice. Earp decides to send a telegram to Doc Fabrique only saying someone is near death. Doc rushes from Wichita to Dodge City thinking Earp is near death. With some coaxing he looks at Roscoe and concludes he is suffering from sorghum beer poisoning. A man called Shuffles enters the stable and tells Shotgun he saw Heck Miller and friends feed a gallon of sorghum beer to Roscoe the day before. Shotgun leaves to track the group down camped outside of town at the J-W camp. Earp soon follows but he arrives to late to stop Shotgun from getting retribution forcing Earp to arrest Shotgun. Hopefully, Doc Fabrique can save Shotgun as well as Roscoe.
