In the series reboot, we're introduced to three new angels: Abby Sampson, a Park Avenue princess who became a world-class thief: Kate Prince, a Miami cop who fell from grace, losing both her career and her fiance; and Gloria, a disgraced army lieutenant who has a way with explosives. Things go horribly wrong with one of the angels' missions, and their elusive boss, Charlie Townsend, persuades them to partner with Gloria's childhood friend, Eve, a street racer with a mysterious past.

The Townsend Agency address, 1976 Ocean Drive, is a nod to the year the original series began. The first episode aired 21 March 1976.

At 2'30" into the film (around the swimming pool) Abby calls out, "Bosley" and the first person one sees is a look-alike of the original Bosley, David Doyle, fooling the viewer for a moment before revealing the new Bosley.

Composer Jeff Russo recorded a score which was not used.
