Brendan is accused of embezzling 700 million pounds from a pension fund. The police are seeking his girlfriend Emma Rose (Jo Woodcock). She is running away under the radar. A new British Crime Agency is formed to help look for crime. Gabriel Leonard (Cosmo Jarvis) is hired by this new agency due to a neurological disorder where he sees numbers and words as color which allows him ease of memory. He loves monochrome paintings. Gabriel sees things at a crime scene other inspectors might miss.

This is a low to medium action crime drama. There are no real twists or surprises outside what you expect. I spite of that, the feature held my interest.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Monochrome is a solid solid effort. The movie is great, well acted, well shot and a genuinely well thought out and put together movie. Having said that there is one problem I really had with this film and unfortunately I think it could of been a massively interesting story point, how they would have portrayed it effectively, I have no idea but that's not for me to figure out. Jo Woodcock and Cosmo Jarvis are superb.
