Short summary

The Supreme Commander of Earth Forces is threatened with death by the Mysterons. Scarlet and Blue escort him to a briefing at SHEF, narrowly averting an assassination attempt. Moving the Supreme Commander to a fortified bunker in the desert, Spectrum faces an even greater challenge: the new Unitron tank has been programmed to destroy the Supreme Commander at all costs.

'Point 783' feels like fundamental "Captain Scarlet" - terrific effects work, Spectrum as a well-oiled security force and a distinct tinge of paranoia, this time as technological terror. Honestly, this comes off like the model guys build a sweet tank and wanted to see it screaming around the desert, blowing stuff up.

Aside from volunteering as tank fodder, Scarlet takes on a minimal role; this is Captain Blue's show. And while the Mysteron involvement is nothing special, this is one of the series more exciting episodes. It also shows how taken for granted Scarlet's healing powers are. Seeing the General take it out on Blue for their unhurried rescue of his body is kinda funny.
