Short summary

When the CIA targets Vivian Volkoff for assassination, Chuck turns to an unusual ally to protect her: Vivian's father, Alexei. Ellie suspects her mother doesn't want her to find out about her father's past.

Near the end when Sarah rips apart the prenup, they are drinking a bottle of Chateau LeFranc, which was central during the plot in the episode "Chuck Versus the Balcony".

Chuck is sitting at the breakfast table reading a book and remarks, "Eddard, you don't let your kids keep a direwolf. That's a terrible idea." Chuck is reading A Game of Thrones, the first novel of the series A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin. HBO turned the novel into a television series, the first episode of which aired just 6 days after this episode of Chuck.

Volkoff says the killing agent for the Norseman weapon is thorium, and that it is very rare. Actually, thorium is as common as lead and far more common than arsenic or tin. Thorium is actually less toxic than arsenic. The writers might have confused thorium with polonium which is very rare and so deadly that it has been used to assassinate people.
