Short summary

Chuck and Morgan embark on a mission to take down Alexei Volkoff, while Sarah tries to rescue Chuck's mom. Casey tries to get to know his daughter better, and Ellie eases Devon into fatherhood.

The televisions in the Buy More always show something related to that episode. When Awesome is getting Ellie's Push Mix from Chuck in the Buy More, the TVs behind Awesome show a series of babies. This can be found in many episodes.

When Jeff and Lester arrive at the hospital, the male nurse calls "Dr. Adler, room 315 please" through the speakers. This is a reference to Ali Adler, who worked as a writer for Chuck for 3 seasons.

Ellie picks Grunka as a name for her daughter. Big Mike says it reminds him of Grunka Kasabian, a reference to Linda Kasabian of the Manson Family.

The man who designed the fake eye is named 'Eimacher'. Macher loosely translates to 'maker' in English from German. Thus he is the Eye Maker. Literally translated it would be 'egg maker'.

The hospital set where Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) gives birth is the same set where Sarah Lancaster was Lisa the Gift Shop Girl on Scrubs.

In the Contessa computer room the Volkoff guards have FN Herstal P90 personal defense weapons. This is possibly the first time this popular-in-tv-and-movies submachine gun was used in Chuck.

I am a grown man, I would even say that I am not the kind that gets easily moved by emotional stuff at all! :p but Chuck (the show) has proved me wrong time after time, and I must admit this was the peak of all 4 seasons!!

I don't want to spoil any of the content of this episode, but I do want to tell all you viewers and also the creators/writers of this show that this is by far the best show I have ever watched! It has all the elements I could ever dream of: action, comedy, drama and thriller :) I cried out of joy at the end of this episode! :)

My only thought is: where can they possibly go from here?! In my mind it is not possible to top this! :) But I believe in the creators/writers and I will faithfully wait for the follow up :)

    One word: Enjoy!! :)

The whole week of waiting and the last couple of hours before the 13th episode started has been worth the wait. YOU WON'T BE Disappointed What an AMAZING episode! Literally within the last 10 minutes, I laughed, I was filled with anxiety, and flat out cried! The last 10 minutes was definitely worth watching. Such a great ending and such a great show! LOVED IT! Hands down this is the BEST SHOW EVER. Filled with drama, action, comedy, and everything in between. Great job to Josh, Chris, and the team. Can't wait for the rest of the season. Hoping for a fifth season as well! But none the less, great job, great show, great cast, great storyline, and great job.

"Chuck vs. the Push Mix" in some ways is conclusive and straight forward, concluding unresolved plot details, and bringing "Chuck" to what can only be a new beginning. In coming episodes "Chuck" will have to deal with wedding and marriage drama between Chuck and Sarah, new baby in the house for Awesome and Ellie, and and returning super spy turned granny. Part of what makes the episode excellent is the potential for new plots it brings to the "Chuck" Audience. Though weekly "Chuck" continues to make me laugh and worry that the heroes will fail, the plot has become predictable, and I am hoping that with the new plot "Chuck" writers will bring in new cast members, and maybe a new intersect upgrade. One of my favorite scenes from the episode is when Chuck proposes, the filmography is amazing, as the camera pulls away placing a floor polishing janitor in the foreground, creating a sense of intimacy and privacy as Chuck and Sarah share their moment of joy and love for each other.

This is how you do character progression! Look how much Chuck has matured, finally becoming the super cool spy with a plan when his family needs him the most. Loved the plan that he and Morgan drew up! Chuck/Morgan kidnapping the wrong guy! LOL! Morgan and the wetsuits! Haha! Morgan's yoga technique through the lasers and the awkward nakedChuck/Morgan hug. The way Chuck tricked Volkoff into giving the voice activation for Hydra! And General Beckman! Yay! You go Chuck! I love how he made use of Orion/his father.

Loved Mary/Sarah working together. I hope that they keep Linda Hamilton around and have her go on a couple of missions with Chuck and Sarah. I think that could be pretty cool.

Volkoff/Timothy Dalton is funny! That video phone call with Frost/Mary/Chuck's Mum was hilarious. However, glad that we've finally seen the last of him (hopefully. I don't want a repeat of last season where Shaw just refused to die!) being out in the big wide world.

Awesome freaking out at becoming a father <3 <3 <3 <3. Casey giving him the talk and telling him how he regrets not being able to be there when Alex was born <3 <3 <3. Love that scene.

Casey not letting Sarah apologise for throwing him out of the window. It's nice when we get to see their friendship/partnership. Alex! What a great little addition to the core six. Love getting to see her relationship with Casey and Morgan develop. Are we going to get to see her Mum again soon? Possibly see Casey get his childhood sweetheart back?

Jeffster!!!!! I almost wet myself! This is on a level with Mr Roboto for complete inappropriateness. And the look on Ellie's face when she starts hearing it come through the tannoy system! I think that's what cracked me up so much!

And then the whole "Young Blood" sequence - everyone's paired off into their little sub families: Morgan/Casey/Alex, Awesome/Ellie/Baby/Ellie's Mum, AND THE FINAL FINAL FINAL SCENE. Chuck/Sarah - The Proposal Scene! The way the camera panned out so we couldn't hear anything but just see it. Gah! THIS SHOW! THIS SHOW!

I have to say that I could see how this would have been a satisfying end to the series. Not that I'm not grateful that we still have another half-season at the very least to go but now they've wrapped up Volkoff's storyline, how are they going to create a bad guy ever eviller than him so quickly? Can we go back to having the "bad guy of the week" like we did in the early days?? And remember last season when we had a solid first half to the season but the second half kind of grew weaker? Basically, I don't know how they can top this. That's the trouble with this show always being in danger of getting cancelled. If they had gotten the full order of 22/24 episodes at the start then we could have seen Chuck without the Intersect for longer, had a couple more episodes with Sarah going undercover with Chuck's Mum (the way they rushed it meant it wasn't really believable how worried Chuck was about her becoming like his Mum when she was only gone for like one episode) and they could have made the whole final 'bringing down Volkoff' even more spectacular and then the final montage would have been even more satisfying than it was .... i.e. outstanding instead of really awesome! Still, I'm definitely excited to see where the show's going to go now. I presume we're going to get to see a Chuck/Sarah wedding complete with a bundle of mission-related interruptions and JEFFSTER!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely ADORE this show, every time the end of a season is getting closer, I start praying for the next one.

I liked this episode for its emotional content, John connecting with his daughter, a new life being brought to the world and the ending... oh, the ending! But arresting Volkoff in such an easy way? Chuck got absolutely no trouble in dismantling a huge organization with Morgan - who is not a real agent- in 10 minutes, but his mother, his father, Sarah and a lot of other smart agents could not do it for the past 20 years... I don't know, I find that troubling and kind of disappointing.

Anyway, Long Live Chuck and I hope we get to see 10 Seasons more, but the writers have to think about better endings for stories that have engaged us for several episodes.

    Just my opinion...
