Short summary

Set in Scotland, in 384AD, the film is a day in the life of a small Scottish clan and the brotherhood that formed a nation. As the whole village prepares for the wedding of Mhari (Annie Bergin) to the Clan Chief's son, told through the storyteller, 'Rachel Wisson', no-one is aware of a rival clan heading their way to wage war.

After an open casting call, 700 local people were cast in the film. For some, this was their first acting experience.

The script was in Gaelic and vocal coaches were on set throughout filming to assist cast members with their lines.

The film took 4 months to complete.

Some cast members didn't know until shooting started what parts they had achieved. Annie Bergin and Roisin Kelly only found on their first day on set that they were playing the bride, and the clan chief's daughter respectively.

Several local Dunbartonshire organisations gave their support, including: The Milton Inn Hotel and Barnhill Estate, The Tullochan Trust, West Dunbartonshire Council, Dynamic People Solutions, Anderson Marketing and Publicity, the Royal Marines, Aggreko and Galt Transport.

Clydebank College was heavily involved in the project with their media and make-up students carrying out their work placements on the film.
