Whilst I like both Randeep hooda and kajal agarwal as actors, This movie is a shameless copy of one of my favorite korean movie "Always". Its a shame. Shame on bollywood. Atleast if you cant write the original, take a copyright, do not steal it. I have nothing else to say, just shame, shame.

Deepak Tijori's films have always been turkeys. And this one is no different, only that it's a romantic tearjerker of a drama.

Sooraj (Hooda) is a talented boxer with a horrid past and blank future. Some wrong decisions in his professional life had forced him to take a path of crime, which eventually landed him behind bars. Now out of prison, he breaks back day and night to earn money so that he can apparently settle some debts. This point in film is the first and last you will hear about any debt. Out of blue, he meets Jenny (Aggarwal), a blind young woman who has no television in her house. Meets turn into rendezvouses and before soon Jenny, instead of friendzoning him, accepts Sooraj as her beau. Sooraj, who is taciturn in his romance and gloomy in his demeanor, pledges his life in her service. But, Tijori wants them to go through some hurdles, so they do, before ending their two-word story with happiness.

Essentially, the story is badly written, and that is all that works against the film. The plot is like the characters literally following a pre-written story instead of guiding it. Many sequences in the film confirm this failure in writing. How else would you describe a screenplay where a character takes a life decision in the middle of a water park ride?

Hooda is great. I personally like him as an actor. But, he is clearly ill- cast here. It may be for his bod chops, but Hooda cannot romance properly. Neither can Aggarwal receive a romance, even if it's a badly rendered one. Her portrayal of a blind person is similar to that of a retard, no offense. The small girl that you often see in the anti-smoking ad (before a film in Indian cinemas) where just before she hugs her smoker father is reminiscent of Aggarwal's role. All she does is call her co-actor "buddhu" (which means "dumbo" in English) several times throughout the film. Counter: at least 7.

That's it. The story gathers emotional moss towards the end which may appeal to some so-called romantics. But, if you are seriously looking forward for a romance drama which will touch your heart, this is not the film you should watch.

BOTTOM LINE: Deepak Tijori's Do Lafzon Ki Kahani is a badly written rendition of the clichéd romance saga where a man pledges his life for his lover, without any touch of realism. Wait for TV premiere and make love during commercials if you possibly can.

Can be watched with a typical Indian family? YES

An introduced trailer highlighting romantic take between two people accompanied by song 'kuch to hai', allured me to watch this light romantic movie.

Tone & Story: Randeep Hooda a former boxer falls in love with a blind girl Kajal. He further decides to step again into ring, to fulfill financial requirement, to bring back her vision. It's light, sweet and easy on eyes. The negative is, it's also predictable (2/10).

Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: It was average (2/10).

Music: Music is good (3/5). I liked the song 'Kuch to hai' the most.

Acting: Acting is also good (2.5/5)

Final Verdict: It's worth a watch when you want to watch something light [(2/5) (7/10)].

This may be a spoiler. when i first saw the trailer i could tell that it was an adaptation and obviously a bad one. this movie is an adaptation of Korean movie "Always"-2011.Always(one of my personal favorite) is a movie that you never want to be get copied. i can easily say that this movie is totally a waste of money and time without watching. the cast is good for a movie but not for a copy. just having seen the trailer i understand that it is about 99.99% copy of movie Always. you should see "Always" before watching this movie and then you can rate it. the director of this movie should find a better story line without copying it. but all above this is a total disgrace of Indian movie industries. they still are trying to copy great movies as before as always they did.

Former boxer Suraj fells in love with a blind girl and later finds out a connection in past, a situation arises which make Suraj to step in to the ring again for his love.

What's Good: -Randeep Hooda giving everything that movie demanded: Acting Skills, Body, Action everything just superb. -Kajal's beautiful eyes (being blind in movie) makes you feel sad for her, good for movie. -Complete Love Story. -Good Music.

What's Not: -Story is too much predictable, you'll feel like you have already seen this movie before. -Director not able to do justice to skills of Randeep Hooda. -Bad editing, direction not up to the mark.

Our Ratings: Story: ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4/10 Music: ★★★★★★★★☆☆ 8/10 Direction, editing and screenplay: ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2/10 Star Performances: ★★★★★★★★★☆ 9/10 Overall: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6/10 Final Verdict: One time watch, with your love or alone (if you do it in routine). Planning out to go with family or friends? better drop the idea, you'll feel bored.

Some Actors are so good, that they rise above a mediocre & uneven film. Randeep Hooda is among them. Honda's marvelous on-screen commitment shines over 'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani', a film that desperately wants you to be touched by it, but barely leaves any mark, despite a few charming moments. Director Deepak Tijori delivers an average romantic-drama, at best!

'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' is Centered on ex-mixed martial arts artist Sooraj (Randeep Hooda) and a blind sculptor artist Jenny (Kajal Aggarwal). Their fate intertwines when their past are revealed in their blooming relationship.

'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani', which is a remake of the 2011 Korean movie Always, has its heart at the right place & to be honest, the first-hour has a charm to it. The interactions between the leading man & women, are cute. But, a melodramatic second-hour, that also throws in a few twists & turns, fumbles. What starts out as a story on true-love & redemption, suddenly becomes a story on guilt & gut-wrenching sacrifices. The final act, especially, is clumsy.

Girish Dhamija's Adapted Screenplay has heart, but it never touches you the way one might expect. As mentioned earlier, the first-hour works with some charm, but the second-hour doesn't deliver due to unwanted melodrama. Deepak Tijori's Direction is decent & I'm sure 'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' is his most watchable film to date. Cinematography nicely captures the exotic locales of Malaysia. Editing needed to be sharper. Music by Various Artists is wonderful & among the film's biggest pluses.

Performance-Wise: Its Hooda all the way. He's the life & soul of the show. He enacts the guilt-driven protagonist with remarkable commitment. Kajal Aggarwal is sincere in her portrayal of the blind girl. The on-screen chemistry between Hooda & Aggarwal, is good. Of the supporting cast, Mamik Singh & Anil George leave a mark.

On the whole, 'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' Rises On The Strength Of Randeep Hooda's Marvelous Performance!

I have not seen that Korean movie people talk about. All I know is that the movie is one of its kind. Amazing performances by all the actors. Beautiful plot and the way story grips the viewers. Songs add a romantic touch to the movie. So I suggest don't miss this master piece and give it a watch.

It is a delight for the people who like genres like romance, thriller and action.

This movie really made my day. Specially the songs. I wonder what kind of people dislike such movies while I am always hunting these which are a little off screen but have lovely story and songs.

So without wasting much time, give this movie a try.

first, let me make it clear that this movie is not perfect or excellent but a good one. breaking it up in parts:- plot- nice, direction-not great, acting-superb especially randeep hooda, music-fan worthy. in total, this is a great movie that do needed a lot of work to become excellent. starts slow, keeps slow and when the past connection unveils it becomes great and till the end when sooraj avoids jenny Its heart wrenching. and mentioning again, all the great events of the movie became great just because of randeep hooda's acting.

my advice - movie desrves to be watched. Deepak tijori learn direction properly. Audience-Stop looking for masala films. this is a nice low level movie. not much romantic but as a movie it is good. touches heart Sometimes.
