Phillip Frond confiscates an Abumi-Guchi grabber from Louise; she is not amused. Teddy gets jealous when Bob invites his new "man crush," Steve (and klepto son, Zander) to a dinner party for Gayle. She is celebrating a landmark: her first ever 2d date with the same man! And, as it turns out, Mystery Date has quite a yarn for Gayle. It is an age old recipe of rib roast, robbery and rage, with a ragout of recycling and remorse. But what will land on the menu when the Belcher kids guess who's coming to dinner?

This episode takes place before the earlier episode "Gayle Makin' Bob Sled" as Gayle mentions still being with Mr. Frond in that episode. Loren Bouchard apologized for the scheduling mix-up in an interview with NJ Tech Reviews in January 2016.

Louise's grabber is based on Abumi-guchi, a Japanese monster illustrated in Toriyama Sekien's book, "Gazu Hyakki Tsurezure Bukuro".

During the opening credits the name of the store to the right of Bob's Burgers (which changes with every episode) is called "Bidets and Confused --Bidets for Beginners". The next time it is shown, about 7 minutes into the show, the storefront is again empty and has a sign in the window saying it is available.
