Short summary

Jack baits Fayed with Gredenko, while the President faces a challenge to his office.

Wayne Palmer's (D.B. Woodside) ordering his doctor to administer a shot of adrenaline against his physician's suggestion, mirrors a scene from the miniseries "The Temptations." Wood side portrayed singer Melvin Franklin and against his doctor's advice, pushed for a shot of Cortisone to combat his arthritis pains.

So much happens. Wayne, defying his own health issues, pulls off an incredible coup. Lennox comes to the fore (but do we really trust him?). It would be typical 24 to use him in the future. Jack pursues Feyed and manages to locate the bombs. Then again, perhaps someone in CTU will take them back. But the last minute reveals something amazing and unexpected. Does this mean that the original plot is over and we now move to a new one? Wait and see. Sometimes there is just too much.

Upon invoking the 25th Amendment, Daniels shows he is not above perjuring himself in order to obtain the presidency. Gredenko reluctantly helps CTU capture Fayed. Wayne resorts to risky medical treatments to maintain consciousness.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Captured by CTU, Dmitri Gredenko offers to help them locate Abu Fayed. They send Gredenko to meet with Fayed after injecting a tracking device into his arm. Fayed realizes Gredenko led the Americans to him.

2.Sensing something is wrong, Jack Bauer barges into Gredenko and Fayed's meeting room, only to find Gredenko's severed arm. He begins a pursuit.

3.Abu Fayed runs into a bar with Gredenko, only to be betrayed by Gredenko when he alerts the bar's patrons to Fayed's identity as a terrorist. Gredenko escapes from the bar as the ordinary people inside begin to attack Fayed. Jack arrives quickly, however, stopping the attack before Fayed can be killed and taking him into custody. He orders a search for Gredenko, just as Gredenko happens to die from his wound underneath the pier outside.

4.Vice President Noah Daniels argues one member of the cabinet's vote is invalid, making the true outcome 7:6 in favor of evoking the 25th Amendment against Wayne Palmer. Tom Lennox privately confronts Daniels with evidence revealing Daniels and his assistant Lisa Miller's scheme to commit perjury before the Supreme Court in order to win the Presidency. Daniels has no choice but to withdraw his case against Wayne.

5.Tom Lennox receives word President Wayne Palmer is about to go ahead with Noah Daniels' nuclear strike. Tom confronts and argues with Wayne over the decision, but Wayne refuses to reconsider.

The 25th amendment - another element from the previous seasons of 24.Also,there is the conflict between the President and Vice-President with respect to a retaliatory strike or not.And then there is the odd teamwork between CTU and Gredenko. How many time have we seen a villain working with CTU from previous seasons?

Too bad that Day 6 has nothing but a rehash of many plot lines that was previously used before.
