Set in a plush department store only days before Christmas, a single mother(Dervla Kirwan) and her two daughters(Holly and Elizabeth Earl), made homeless when their caravan explodes, go and live in Scottley's, the best store in London. A suspicious door-keeper(Peter Capaldi) keeps an eye over them. In Santa's grotto, Santa(Ricky Tomlinson) and his Elf(Sean Hughes) are planning a robbery of Mr Scottley's jewels. Excellent performances alround make it entertaining for everyone. But the best performance was by Elizabeth Earl, her future in acting at the highest level is assured.

This is a great movie because....

    1. It is a real life situation for some unlucky people, which helps the cope.

    2. It includes comedy, celebrity appearances, etc., which everyone likes to see in a TV movie. (Included were "S CLUB 7")

    and lastly:

    3. It is family oriented and shows that no matter how much a person screws up in life that they will always be loved. (Example is how the mother (I forget her name) is always trying but never succeeds and eventually her oldest daughter (I believe her name was Livie) "comes to" and realized how much her mother is trying.)

    That is basically my review.

Right off the bat, the movie is narrated by Livvie, the reasonable member of the family, while she's in the police station. And it's in that moment you know it's not about whether they'll get caught or not, but rather, it's about having fun. I enjoyed every bit of the greatest store in the world. I smiled when they smiled, and I frowned when they frowned. This is a perfect movie for the holidays.

This film is brilliant. Elizabeth and Holly Earl were both brilliant as Livvie and Angeline. Its a must see for everyone. I was 12 when i first saw it and i enjoyed it along with my little sister, who was 5 then and my dad who was about 41 then its a film for all ages. the acting is top class and you can tell that the cast and crew really tried hard. You can't expect less than the best when it comes to Elizabeth Earl though, she's talented and puts her heart into everything she does and that is why everything she acts in is brilliant. Holly Earl is a star in the making and she's going the same way as her sister. I hope they will both me successful in the future.
