Blink is based on a true story, and follows the families of Maya, a 16-year old Hindu girl and Ali, a 17-year old Muslim boy on the night of their wedding. Set in Toronto in the backyard of a rapidly growing Indian population, it deals with the emerging prejudice and gang violence that occurs daily. The violence stems from the massive immigration of hundreds of different and often opposing South Asian cultural and religious groups.
