Short summary

Theodore Roosevelt sneaks into Canada for a hunting trip.

William talks about his bolograph, a device that "converts heat radiation into a graphic array." This is apparently an early version of a "night vision device," which was developed in the 1940s based on technology invented in 1929.

The Great White Moose begins slowly (and unfortunately un-engagingly) with another wave of Julia's moody and grumpy pregnancy. It's almost enough to press the fast-forward button... The episode continues with a political focus, which is also unfortunate, because the political and international "intrigue" episodes are traditionally not the strongest offering from Murdoch Mysteries. The episode does pick up part way through when some station detective work kicks in (hooray for Crabtree!) and makes for a tidy and well-played second half. Terrence Myers is back and is true to form with his crafted combination of annoying and entertaining, and our guest-celebrity-president is recognizable and interesting. Overall, an imperfect but highly watchable episode.
