Short summary
A filmed record of former president Theodore Roosevelt's and Cândido Rondon's 1913-14 expedition to the then uncharted Rio da Dúvida, later renamed the Roosevelt River.
Caroline Gentry assembled this film from three sources; (1) footage taken of the actual 1913-14 Roosevelt-Rondon Expedition, shot by Anthony Fiala, who was only the group part way; (2) newsreel footage taken by Brazilian cameramen and supplied by Cândido Rondon, and (3) new footage from 1927 shot by George M. Dyott, who retraced Roosevelt's route on behalf of the Roosevelt Memorial Association.
