Short summary

Miko accidentally downloads ancient knowledge stored on a data cylinder into Bulkhead's brain. The Autobot gains tremendous amounts of information, but it's threatening to delete his own personality if the data is not removed from his system.

The plot of this episode references many past Transformers stories. Bulkhead suddenly gaining a lot of knowledge and becoming highly intelligent in the process reflects what happened to Grimlock in Transformers: Grimlock's New Brain (1986). Him rambling about scientific nonsense and painting strange symbols on walls can be seen as a reference to the movie Transformers: Die Rache (2009), in which Sam Witwicky does the same after having had the AllSpark infused into his brain. Finally, Bulkhead trying to paint is a nod to the episode Transformers: Animated: Headmaster (2008), which also had him painting things.

This episode aired on the Canadian cartoon channel Teletoon before the American air date on the Hub could even have been confirmed. What more, even the episode's title was unknown. This is, however, not the first instance when a foreign country aired Transformers episodes before the US.
