May Arnold is living happily at home in the far Southwest. She is happy with her father, and happy with the thought that she is soon to wed Billy. Clarence Van Nest a young business man, and a distant relative of farmer Arnold from the east, is summoned on urgent business to the Southwest. His mother accompanies him. They are warmly greeted at the ranch house. Little May gazes wonder-eyed at Clarence. His easy grace and polished manner attract the girl to such an extent that after a little quarrel with Billy, she allows her thoughts to wander to the east, and a life of luxury. While pondering over these thoughts, she drops to sleep and dreams it all came true, but soon found her life was not one of sunshine and roses, and after many trials and tribulations, she awakens with a start only to find she is at home and in the sphere in which Nature had placed her.
