A college preceptor and post-graduate in the theological department of a co-ed university, the Rev. George Davis is very much esteemed and admired by all of his associates. He has a human as well as a devout side to his nature and this is very evident when we recognize his attentions to Miss Eleanore Browne. His spirituality, however, far outweighs his human tendencies and when he receives the call as missionary to the Saskatchewan country, he lays aside all other interests and is obedient to "the still small voice." He takes up his duties among the Esquimaux and the Indians and soon wins them by his kindness. George Davis gets a letter from Eleanore Browne's father in which he expresses the inadvisability of his daughter marrying a man who is so far removed from civilization and make her home in such a god-forsaken place.
