Co-directors David Allensworth and Monière have created Soul to Keep (2018), one of the most imaginative and unique possession films in recent years. Written by Eric Bram and David Allensworth, Soul to Keep's world premiere will be taking place tonight at Shriekfest 2018, and fans of the genre will will not want to miss this.

Combining elements from the philosophical, spiritual, and religious, Soul to Keep is layered and complex. By turn King-ish and Lovecraftian, it is a journey through the realm of the paranormal and demonic possession via a group of close childhood school friends grown up, their circle still strong. Set over the course of the weekend that twins Josh (Tony Spitz) and Erin (Aurora Heimbach) christen the creepy farm they inherited from their grandfather Pop Pop, it soon becomes clear that Tara (Sandra Mae Frank), Josh's girlfriend, is pivotal. Grace (Kate Rose Reynolds), Erin's best friend, has brought along her jock boyfriend Brandon (Jordan Theodore), the only one who doesn't know sign language. Along with DJ Toby (Derek Long), blogger Freddy (Craig Foge), and spiritualist Kimberly (Jessie Jordan), the group venture into the paranormal.

Deaf actress Sandra Mae Frank, whose performance as the deaf character Tara connects everything, really shines in a movie filled with great performances. She guides us through from moment one to the powerful end. Viewers shouldn't look away during this one. Ever. Score (Irv Johnson), cinematography (Eric Giovon), production design (Lisa Ramsey), sound 3 design (Angelo Panetta), and visual effects (Carlos Aldana) make Soul to Keep a full-immersion sensual exorcism.

From Shady Tree Films and Cineque Pictures, Soul to Keep is produced by Patrick Kendall, p.g.a., Monière, David Allensworth, p.g.a., and Matt Meyer. Co-Produced by Bears Rebecca Fonté and Rachel Morgan.
