It was not all that great, but it was a fun rental game. I never noticed how the game did sort of resemble Zelda II when I first played it, but when I watched the episode of Angry Video Game Nerd I saw a resemblance. However, I did not dislike the game quite as much as he did, though I do have similar complaints about it. I too, found myself falling to like a totally new area once and it was hard to figure out at times where you were supposed to go. Battling snakes and battling giant spiders was a bit strange, but overall I enjoyed the conversation choices and such in this one. Kind of a role playing element that was not present in most action games of this sort. If they could only improve the way you traveled it would of been a much funner game. They also needed to greatly reduce the number of grenades that copter at the end took! It was insane, I finally had to use an infinite life code to to destroy the thing, it took forever and I just do not understand how one could defeat that thing without it. You are given a wide variety of items and weapons to complete your mission, unfortunately you will not be getting most of this stuff right away. In fact, the only thing you are getting at the beginning of the game is the knife. Later you will get grenades, bow and arrows and the machine gun on the cover of the game. The game has many faults, but it is playable and fun. You want the all time nightmare in video games based on movies not E.T.? Play Total Recall. This one has some charm to it and the addition of the conversation scenes, to me, enhanced this game.

Rambo (1987) was made for the N.E.S. and it was based on the movie Rambo" First Blood, Part II. The video game is very monotonous and it's pretty difficult. I rented it one time thinking it would be cool, it wasn't. I figured, "Hey it might not be so difficult" it was hard to control and the villains were everywhere. They should have made it more of a role playing game instead of a hybrid that focused more on action and shooting instead of storyline. It was a good concept and it started out all right but after the first five minutes it was time to get rid of it. Not worth one's time.

    'nuff said?

    Not recommended.

Rambo is one of the one of the coolest action video games! The characters, the action, and the sure thrill of adventure makes this game a fun non-stop playing time! Below is a brief look how I think the game is!

Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!

Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the first Nintendo. The backgrounds are really beautiful! Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!

Music: The music is great! Just fantastic catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!

Sound: The sound is great. Nuff said!

Overall: I have always loved Rambo! If you like excellent adventure games, shooters, and more then I strongly recommend you play this game!
