Bigfoot fever hits Seattle when hikers take some fuzzy footage of a suspicious figure in the woods. After an expert validates the footage on the web show, Carly convinces the gang to take Socko's RV upstate and join the search for Bigfoot.

Sam uses the line "Jumping the shark". This was added to the script because this was what Series creator Dan Schneider said when the idea for the episode was pitched to him.

The gang goes to eat at "Robin's Weiner's". The name of the restaurant is a reference to the supervising producer on the show, Robin Weiner.

Although the show parodies product companies such as "Skybucks" (Starbucks coffee chain), the characters occasionally reference real people and shows, including Ryan Seacrest, David Schwimmer, and the show Друзья (1994).

At the time of the original airing, the Beavecoon.org domain name shown in the episode redirected visitors to the iCarly website.
