YOLO (despite its name) is a great Simpsons episode with a really nice story and side story filled with some very funny scenes. The episode is very sweet as we see Homer getting help from his old pen pal at fulfilling some once in a lifetime experiences after he falls in to a mid life crisis. This is the second episode in a row where the subject of death is a major plot point,I really like seeing the show deal with more mature subjects, but two episodes in a row is a bit overwhelming,it definitely should have been spread out so you have several much lighter episodes in between, however I do really like seeing the show go past parodies and guest stars and dealing with something more personal.YOLO is a great and emotional Simpsons episode.

After watching Homer fall into a mid life crisis slump,Marge concocts a plan to make him feel alive again, getting in his touch with his childhood pen pal.
