Short summary

A vicious brawl among fathers who have taken their kids to a play area convinces Homer that civilization is about to crumble so when he meets a man called Lloyd, who tells him the end of the world is nigh he joins Lloyd's group of 'preppers', people preparing for doomsday, and stockpiles provisions. An electricity black-out leads Homer to believe that the world is about to end so he takes the family to the preppers' survival camp but when Marge persuades him that they should return to Springfield to help the survivors of the catastrophe they get a surprise.

When Bart asks what would they do if his ear was sent by kidnappers actually happened to J P Getty III in 1973 - forty years before. It has been in America's cultural psyche ever since. (J. P. Getty III died two years before)

When Homer goes into Bart's room after the EMP burst Bart and Milhouse are playing the board game Satan's Path from Treehouse of Horror XXI.

The first time we hear the Moe's bar-goer with the green hat speak.

Homer Goes To Prep School is a very good Simpsons episode with a lot of really funny scenes.I really enjoyed Tom Waits character and fans of him will definitely appreciate his guest appearance. But I especially enjoyed this episodes take on people preparing for the end of the world, they had a very good take on how strangely concerned some people are today about the end of the world and how they exaggerate on preparing for it,its was really funny take on this by the Simpsons. If you enjoyed the episode from the fifteenth season,Thank Gods Its Doomsday, you should probably enjoy this one,but they give us a different take on preparing for the end of the world.

Homer becomes part of a group and heads out to a secret location with the rest of the family and prepare for the end of the world.

The Simpsons go to a learn zone centre but it turns out to be a fun place that Marge was not expecting. While Homer has to look out for Bart and Lisa he try's to climb up to the top of a slide only then to fall down off the roof after getting hit by some balls. After a child escapes everyone is locked in and while the women talk the men fight. Homer gets thrown through a door and then sees everyone as apes. He then try's to return to work but still sees everyone looking like apes. Homer goes to the bar to complain and a guy next to him shows him a video about the world ending and people who will be prepared for this end. He is then asked to join to be a preparer. Homer try's to keep the secret but also shows Bart about this new group. Marge starts to notice Homer acting weird and things disappearing so Homer shows her his supplies ready for this end. While at work Homer is next to something that turns off all electricity which makes the Simpsons go off to the preparers group. The preparer group have a meeting and are told when someone not apart of the group appears that person will be shoot. In the night Homer and the family decide to escape with supplies for the people of Springfield. The Simpsons make it to town but notice the electricity comes pack and the world did not end. Boring episode for me because nothing was really funny except maybe for the beginning of the episode.
