This picture is unnecessarily melodramatic in places and suffers from jerky action, but nevertheless it tells an interesting story. One brother goes west at his mother's request to look for his younger brother, who has been absent fifteen years. The scenes in the barroom and the slide down the face of the cliff were well handled. In spite of numerous defects the film has good points. - The Moving Picture World, March 8, 1913
