Really awesome show! My only criticism would be that they didn't include a lot of the songs they played on the nights they recorded such as Defector and Revolt which is odd considering that this is the Drones Tour film and those two songs were from the Drones album!

Let me start by saying that I am HUGE Muse fan! The concert I attended in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia last year was the best concert I've ever had the privilege of being at.

I was super excited about last night, I purchased the tickets the second that I saw Muse advertising the show on their Facebook page.

Now about the show itself - It was completely underwhelming tbh. The main reasons for this are:

The complete lack of commentary or introduction about what went into the show, what possessed them to be inspired by the production and how it all came to be.

The main thing I disliked about this was that the mixing was soooo terrible! You literally couldn't hear the percussion or bass in the first 3 songs. This wasn't a cinema issue as it has been widely discussed on the Muse forums and FB page. I really struggle to get my head around the fact a band as acclaimed as Muse, would let such a sub-par recording be issued. It was flat and didn't have the drive/feel that Muse are so famous for.

Lastly, wtf was with the ending? This big announcement of a new song only to see about 2 seconds of a song, I thought it had been cut by the cinema but apparently that was it.

Overall, I wouldn't say I hated it but it could and should have been so much more, for a band who's widely regarded as one of the best live acts on the planet.

Very disappointed! I saw them in Chicago for the Drones tour and thought I'd be in the middle of that great show again with awesome sound etc! Well It wasn't that way at all. I guess I was excited and looking forward to this for nothing!

Get the live in Rome dvd and watch at home! It blows away this attempt at a Concert movie a thousand times over!!

Annoying editing, pretty bad sound in places, songs missing, horrible outro. WIth some added context, better production and better judgement it could have been a classic, but sadly it wasn't to be. Complete rip-off at the cinema as well.
