Mike and Jake are interested in their sons, who are rival football team captains. There is a row and Mike takes his son away and advises him not to be put upon, and Jake takes his son aside and tells him to practice up. The boys continue to fight and the professor has to kick them out. Both Mike and Jake love the college widow, and she strings both of them along. Finally she tells them she will marry the man whose son wins the greatest football fame. She thereupon leaves them and flirts with the professor. Mike and Jake come upon the professor and beat him. They are separated by the sons, who suggest a duel with pies. This comes off with disastrous results to all. Jake and Mike then train their sons for the coming match, and get the worst of the gymnastic stunts and the boxing. On the day of the game the widow flirts with everyone, including the sons. She promises the boys to marry the winner. The game is a terrific affair, in which Mike and Jake join. There is a general free-for-all ...
