This Canadian rarity definitely makes no sense, but it is still a fun and entertaining way to kill 77 minutes. Played as a black comedy, it's really more of a horror mystery that contains effective hilarity. True horror fans will be greatly disappointed with the lack of excessive violence and gore because this is not the type of movie you will expect. But at least it has a few terrifying scenes to compliment the twisted humor it's got. I will say that this French maid who gets nailed onto a tree is the most shocking thing about it. Other scenes including the carving of a forehead are very mild. Although it has fine entertaining value, this isn't for everybody (judging by the millions who adore Adam Sandler). For those who like their comedy on the dark side, check this one out if you can.

The picture above is incorrect. The picture shows the British TV series of the same name, and not the American TV series. They are very different shows. The British show is a hilarious comedy, the American show is not. People show go search the net with Google for the name Alf Garnet, or Til Death us do part and look for anything about British Comedy though the 60's into the 90's. I'm not sure what the American show is all about. It sounds pretty scary and not a comedy. Sounds interesting though. Someone should change the picture above and replace it with the correct one, it's going to confuse people who don't know the difference.

    Thanks.

Series of ritualistic murders sparked by marital therapy session held by post-Freudian at house deep in woods. Primal scream session and death via symbolism provide scant thrills in talky, grainy, shot-on-video "intellectual" comedy/slasher.
