I adore the film, Touch My Girl, so much. It is absolutely fantastic. The story is so moving. It really gets to the core, to the deepest part of your heart. This film did an incredible job at bringing out the emotions they wanted you to feel. It made me happy, angry, sad, excited. And yes, it made me cry. The actors and actresses are all fantastic and each beautifully portrays the character they play. And the music is beautiful :) I get it stuck in my head all the time. The day this movie Becomes available to buy, I will definitely be purchasing it. Everyone should see this movie even just once. It could really change a person. Amazing film <3

this movie is very important and interesting to watch !!! it got great acting , beautiful music and a very important topic to discuss " abuse " this movie shows the dangers of being in an abusive relationship !!! This is not about arguing or 'saying nasty things'. Those of you who think so really need to wake up. Some people, usually men, take sadistic pleasure in undermining their partner at every turn, demolishing their self esteem until they end up believing they are stupid and worthless. Imagine what it's like for the person you love and want to spend your life with to take total control of you by persuading you that you are too stupid to manage anything without their permission and supervision. Of course they don't do this all at once, they do it gradually so it creeps up on you. Then you dare not leave them because you believe their poison.

I thought this movie truly showed what unconditional love can do to help someone heal from such a horrible situation! This movie was thought provoking, inspiring and educational! Wounded Love is about how one man (a stranger) made a difference in a woman's life. He not only saved her from being attacked, he helped her face her past as well. We as a society needs to open our eyes to others and be there to help them. It just takes one person to change the life of a child (or adult) and through the one person, many lives can be changed! Christian was able to communicate this through his directing of Wounded Love. I hope that this movie inspires you to be that stranger that helps someone who is wounded. Be the one that changes another persons life. I give this movie 10 stars for both content, directing and acting! It's a MUST SEE!!!~Diana Joy~

Wounded love is a great portrayal of the life that many women, and men, go thorough in our society ................. we saw this nice movie at an screening and we truly recommend it

the main character the girl can't remember her name now is abused throughout her life by her father and then by her boyfriend , When she finds Mike, she realizes that she deserves a love with innocence, not alcohol and violence. It's a beautifully written story about the pain involved in the cycle of abuse and the hope at the end of the victim's tunnel. The movie made my wife cry and smile and fall in love with this mike guy , However, the movie is full of essential scenes and beautiful music and great acting it is worth watching

Touch My Girl is a great portrayal of the life many women, and men, live everyday. Rebecca, played by Shaila Vaidya, is a girl who is dating Dennis, Robert McAtee, but finds a pure love in Mike, played by Christian Laursen. Rebecca is abused throughout her life by her father and then by her boyfriend Dennis. When she finds Mike, she realizes that she deserves a love with innocence, not alcohol and violence. It's a beautifully written story about the pain involved in the cycle of abuse and the hope at the end of the victim's tunnel. The movie runs a little on the long side. However, the movie is full of essential scenes and information and it'd be a shame to lose any of it for time constraint.

Usually not a fan of independent films, because of the low budgets and lack of content. Inspite of a few issues with sound and editing this film was very good. It was a powerfully moving film. I went through many emotions, from sadness, anger, even joy. As you would guess in a very strong dramatic theme, there was little to no humor. The characters really pulled you into their world. I felt sad for some characters and wanted to beat up on others. This is definitely a must see movie for those who are unaware of the dangers associated with domestic violence; as well as for those who try to bring awareness to this very real problem. There were several visually stunning shots and the music was good.

I saw this film at Dances With Films in Santa Monica at the Laemmle Theater. I had no idea what to expect as I hadn't heard of it but I was going to several films during the festival and this one was just a last minute decision. This must have sold out cause I saw a few people sitting on the floor in the back. Christian Laursen was the director and visually this was really amazing to watch. So many pretty shots. Shaila Vaidya played Rebecca and was really likable so all the things that happened to her affected me. Robert McAtee played Dennis and was really scary and I loved to hate him. I actually felt sorry for this character near the end as he dealt an interesting hand and manipulated me as well as Rebecca! I don't want to give anything away but this story was really sad. I cried. I really enjoyed the movie although I thought the running time went a little long and the storyline with Rebecca and Mike could have been cut down. But overall it moved me and stuck with me for a couple of days. I recommend it to those who want something different than the typical quick cutting Hollywood film. A slower pace but if you give it a chance you may just be moved as well. The domestic violence theme may be hard to watch for some but Dennis reminded me of a few "not so nice" guys I've met in my past. So it seemed very real and a little crying I think was just what I needed at the time!

I didn't know what to expect from this movie. My wife saw the movie in Hollywood last year and came home to tell me of it. I was finally able to watch the movie this weekend and all I can say is wow. The movie sucked me into Rebecca's struggle with domestic violence, and I found myself rooting for Mike in hopes he would find true love and rescue her from her over-powering control-freak boyfriend. Knowing a woman personally who had lived in an abusive relationship, I felt attached to the story, wishing that I too could rescue Rebecca. The ending was quite sad because of Mike, but happy for her in that she finally escaped. Only if things would have worked out for her and Mike would I have been happier. I give this film both my thumbs up!

Don't get me wrong. There is a lot of quality in this movie. The acting seems good and the production is not bad either.

But this movie is brutal in a lot of ways. It is brutal on the viewer and hence, for me, the lower rating. ***SPOILERS*** it is very brutal on Rebecca. Poor girl was raped twice (both thanks to Dennis) and beaten at least twice by Dennis. And it is brutal on Mike.

I see reviewers that say that this movie encourages "discussion" and that "discussion" is needed about this subject. I agree that something is needed and discussion may be a start.

To that end, I have an observation: What drove Dennis more than anything was control. And whenever Rebecca would see him going back to being controlling, she needed to run for the hills. And she was right. Dennis was never going to change.

I thought this movie was unrealistic in that I doubt any Rebecca could have changed her attitude toward Dennis as fast as this one did without lots of help. Toward the end of the movie, she seemed to have shed her victim mentality at least a little. Earlier, she said I few times that she was no good and not worth anything. This and the attitudes of her father were supposed to clue us that Rebecca was deeply ingrained with that attitude and frankly, one person honestly loving her doesn't change that overnight. If it did, there would be a lot fewer battered partners in this world.

I said the movie was brutal. ***SPOILERS - I REALLY MEAN IT - SPOILERS*** If she had actually killed Dennis the first time she pulled the trigger, her life was over. Definite prison and all the consequences that means for a pretty young thing. As it was, the multiple shots she took the second time probably would have resulted the same way. Prosecutors really get serious about multiple shots when one was enough, even if the shooter appears to have been beaten up.

And this is another part of the problem. Battered partners get the raw deal even when they defend themselves. The issue is that it should never get that far that they have to. But especially for a woman with a loser or victim mentality, how are they going to get out of the situation. Like women in the middle ages, these women are virtual slaves to their men and have a very hard time making it on their own.

I truly don't have an answer because the problem is in people who don't want to be fixed. At least I think that some of society is trying to make answers.

This movie does not even deserve one star. Movie too slow, terrible actors, and plot was a terrible dead end.

Saw it on Amazon Prime free. For her lack of a spine she basically killed two men. Had she shown a little spine the ending might have been a little different. Very disappointing movie. Hard to believe some women allow themselves to be treated like this and don't know any better. This movie just perpetuates the problem of weak women who can't seem to find themselves a way out of their own pitiful fate. James Dobson is right in this game of love it must be tough to win. You get what you deserve. You put up with crap you get treated like it. And in this case this woman found somebody who was willing to treat her like gold but she couldn't let go of somebody who treated her like dirt human garbage. It's a crying shame that any woman today in this age would allow themselves to be treated like this. Perhaps this is fiction but it mirrors probably what goes on in real life. My Hope Is that women wake up and realize they do not need to be treated like this by anyone. And it's a shame her father couldn't help her. I understand this father part because I had a father who sort of was the same way and didn't understand. How you were brought up means a lot. Just because you are human does not mean you are fully fit to raise children. Unfortunately this poor young woman didn't know what she should or should not do and that's a shame. This is a pure tragedy movie. For two people her and her artist boyfriend.

    Pretty woman uses unattractive man

spoiled rich actress uses a dimunitive actor, disrespecting him. only a desperate, weak man would accept this and it drags on, amateur movie. giving it 3 stars and thats generous. little happens in the movie from the beginning 48 minutes. seriously, prepare to make yourself a snooze for the first half of this movie. watched an hour then put on a new movie, blah, amateur hour

Wrote a review of Touch My Girl back in 2004, It has since been renamed Wounded Love in 2014, and with it all the bad reviews disappeared replace by these very positive ones. The movie has not changed at all. Wounded Love or Touch My Girl whatever it is renamed in the future will bore you for almost 250 minutes, good luck trying to find the story and ***Spoiler Alert*** it will make no sense no matter how you guess at it, the ending has a murder scene so poorly conceived that it will behoove you to comprehend. The violence in this film tries to make you forget there is no plot. Rebecca herself doesn't appear to know what is happening in the film and constant trashing of the villain Dennis gets so tiring that one almost wants to cheer for the villain. 14 years since I first saw this film and the constant advertisements filling my inbox feed to watch it hasn't changed the battered partner misunderstands this film never gets over, don't waste your time with this one

A whiny artist named Mike meets a hot woman Rebecca who can't let go of her bullying boyfriend Dennis. In the end Rebecca kills her bully jerk boyfriend and scrawny Mike kills himself. There was nothing more to this movie. The acting was adequate but the treatment was not. Grade: C-

I think the problem here is lack of funds. The acting was not good for what could have been a great movie. The female part seemed as dumb as a box of rocks. I don't like movies that make women out to be too stupid for their own good. Those were the reasons I could only rate the movie low.

One of the most awful, most depressing movies I've ever seen. Terrible acting on top of it! An unnecessarily long movie. A bad story with horrible acting. I should have stopped watching after 10 minutes, but I was hoping it would get better. It didn't. One of the most awful, most depressing movies I've ever seen. Terrible acting on top of it! Too long, with not enough acting. several long scenes with only music and one camera in one actor. poor camera action and poor acting. characters not fully developed. who is the father? where is 911 throughout the movie? if money is not an issue with her father why does she offer to help him with house expenses if she moves back in? non believable story.

Very poor acting, the girl did OK but the dialog was horrible, the movie could have been much better with better acting. I only made it half way through and had to stop it, I couldn't watch anymore. Also jumps around between characters a lot, and the movie begins without any background info on the characters, and then Rebecca acts like she suddenly knows the guy she just met.

This film was written by a GOP-donating propagandist. It reeks of garbage psychobabble brainwashing. Young women should never be characterized as weaklings unable to defend themselves. Later I found it was written long ago. It's older than my children. No wonder.

Touch My Girl {Wounded Love} attempts to steal a good cause and turn it into a film but fails miserably, I think the problem here is lack of film understanding. The acting was not good for what could have been a decent concept. The female part seemed as dumb and not well thought out. I don't like movies that make women out to be too stupid for their own good. Those were the reasons I could only rate the movie very low, I turned it off after 25 minutes

This film relies on its cause to gain sympathy for a bad film. The cause is good, the film is horrible. An unnecessarily long movie. A bad story with horrible acting. I should have stopped watching after 10 minutes, but I was hoping it would get better. It didn't. Made in 2004 its very old, did not realize that. No spoilers in this review.

Big Hat, no Cattle, Wounded Lovers belongs on the bad film list it was dull from the start, a high school made for television type hallmark drama, we turned it off after my cousin was gona go home if we did not.In movies, the cad who discards women as quickly as he finds them is an old trope (if Michael Caine's Alfie had Tinder, he would have been this dude). But what gives "Wounded Lovers" its twinge of originality is the way that Mike uses egotistical art to seal himself inside an impenetrable bubble of solipsistic maleness. Even on a date, where his opening gambit is to predict the girl he just met is the good one he's staring at her obviously trying to steal her away. This is just another bad film in the beaten woman genre. Pass.
