Trailers "Five Nights at Freddy's (2014)"

Scott Cawthon, the game's creator, stated that during development, he had nightmares about the character of Bonnie.

Scott Cawthon thought the extreme 20/20/20/20 AI customization would be impossible to beat, however a YouTuber named BigBugz managed to do it. Also, a YouTuber named Markiplier has a video explaining how to beat 20/20/20/20 mode.

The garbled phone message you get in Night Five is reversed speech quoting from the book "Autobiography of a Yogi," specifically a section that talks about how plants, animals and metals share a similar life force.

The "phone guy" is voiced by the creator of the game, Scott Cawthon.

Bonnie was the first animatronic in the game

On April 2015, it's been confirmed that Warner Brothers Studios is developing a Five Nights at Freddy's movie

There is a way to "kill" Foxy. On any night, you can close the door on him and theoretically kill him, but there is a very low chance of this actually happening.

"Golden Freddy" is listed as "yellow bear" in the game files.

The "Help Wanted" ad displayed at the start of the game has text surrounding it. The text is a combination of gibberish with real phrases thrown in, including "this ad has nothing to do with anything relevant to the game. Blah blah blah..."

One of the animatronics in the game, Freddy, is theorized to wait a night or two before attacking because he is studying your play style. However, this is likely not true, and is probably kept until night 3 due to his difficulty.

Scott Cawthon did modeling work on Foxy while on a bumpy car trip. Cawthon stated later he feels this is why Foxy ends up very broken in appearance.

Much of the game's backstory is hidden in the game on posters.

According to many posters in the game there was a kidnapping which resulted in five children going missing. Its believed that one of the mascots lured the children away. The unknown suspect was arrested for the crime, but the bodies of the five children were never found.

In the security area where the player is, there's a poster with the phrase "Celebrate" representing Freddy in the middle of Bonnie and Chica. If you click Freddy's nose, it will make a clown-like sound. This was added in order to reduce the players' stress while playing

Scott Cawthon had nightmares about the game. You also see hallucinations in the game within a millisecond, such as Bonnie and Freddy's face, and "ITS ME" words. These are confirmed to be visions in his nightmares. Bonnie also appears in the hallucinations the most, which is because Scott was scared of Bonnie the most.

In the custom night, if you change the settings to 1/9/8/7, a reference to the Bite of 87', right as you click "Ready", Golden Freddy will jumpscare you and crash the game.

Some fans believe Foxy is a good guy. If you don't check his room he will think something happened to you and run to check if you are ok. If you check his room too often, he will run to the office to calm you down. Also, that's why he doesn't attack you close up. Some believe he accidentally gives you a heart-attack. And some believe in the second game he jumps out at you because he just wants to give you a hug.

The jump scare screeching sound when the animtronic characters pop up is a heavily modified child's scream.

Foxy is hands down the most beloved character of the game. If you look up five nights at Freddy's fan art and fan fictions, notice the massive amount of artist and stories about Foxy.

This is one of the games who has the most theories by fans making their own opinions. And the creator haven't made his own story to the public yet.

Most teasers for the 3rd and 4th game when brightened up, have a secret message or image such as our second look at the springtrap character, or the word " nightmare ".

Before Five Nights at Freddy's, Scott Cawthon made a game called "Chipper and Son's Lumber Co." However, the reviewers thought that the characters looked like animatronics. Cawthon was even thinking about quiting the game development business forever! But, he used the bad reviews to his advantage and thus Five Nights at Freddy's was born.

In the trailer Bonnie is seen running down the hall but this doesn't happen in the final game. This was instead given to Foxy. Another thing scrapped was Bonnie removing his mask to reveal his endoskeleton but it was also scrapped.

Golden Freddy can get in the office even if both doors are closed. There is a way to "kill" (get rid of) Golden Freddy. The player can do this by flipping the cameras up and down repeatedly until he vanishes.

Freddy is the only animatronic that has two jumpscares and in his second one you will see that his eyes are black while in the other they are white some People beleive that in his second jumpscare the puppet is possessing him

Foxy is the only one to have a set path while the others have a complex AI.

According to the creator, Scott Cawthon, Bonnie is by far the scariest animatronic of the first game. When emailing someone, he said that he had multiple nightmares of Bonnie while developing the game (these nightmares could have been the reason for the existence of the Bonnie death screen) and even added that the other animatronics, never really scared him that much

A rumor surfaced about a special level if a player enters 1/9/8/7 in the custom AI mode. To dispel rumors, later updates of the game now give a player the "Golden Freddy" death-screen instantly if this combo is entered. There was also a rumor about entering 0/6/6/6 to enable the disabled camera in the kitchen but no such mod exists.

Foxy actually has no actual voice box. This is why he has a large hole in his chest, but oddly enough, he can still sing and make strange noises.

Chica is the only girl in the game, Bonnie, Freddy and Foxy are all boys.

Chica is not a duck like most people believe.

Initially Freddy wasn't going to move about at all but rather stay on the stage and only appear when the player runs out of power.

Scott Cawthon tried to launch a Crowd Funding Campaign to help fund the game but was unable to raise any money.

Within one year the game has had three sequels.

The concept of the game came when creator Scott Cawthon made another game called Chipper & Sons Lumber Co.. The game was a kid friendly game where you play as a beaver and plant trees. A famous game-journalist called "Jim Sterling" criticized that the characters looked like "scary animatronic animals." Cawthon was devastated and was considering giving up gamemaking. But one day he thought of making a game that was literally about scary animatronic animals.

The character names, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Freddy were character nicknames and not initially planned for the final names.

If you see a Golden Freddy poster anywhere, and go back to the office, you see Golden Freddy. Then, he jump-scares you and crashes the game.

When you are jumpscared by foxy if you slow it down you can hear "freedom!" but unplanned jumpscareing you. He is a friendly fox but stuffed you down his suit (like the bite of 87)

During his jumpscare, Foxy's ears clip through the door. He is also the only Animatronic in the game who doesn't jump up and screech in the player's face, instead appearing from the left door making his jumpscare the least scariest.

YouTuber Kevin Kevin is the 20th person known the beat the extreme 4/20 mode.

Golden Freddy or Fredbear has a deeper and longer jumpscare aswell as a lighter giggle every now and then. Golden Freddy is actually a hallucination and/or is child from FNAF 4 in the minigames at the end of the night.

My main point about this game is that, it's gameplay may at times seem very repetitive, and the community has overdone the game a bit. But the story behind this and the other games are so superbly brilliant that I do not want anyone to miss out on it. If you can get past the gameplay and see under the game to the storyline, I can bet you will find it just as good as I do!

If you don't want a little spoiler don't read this part

Okay when the story starts the feeling of helplessness grows so much and it eventually turned to anger against not the animatronics, but the purple man (the killer). Scott has managed to hide the identity of this character, and not given is many options to who he is, not to mention he is in every game except the first one cause it doesn't have mini games. If you've seen the game you know what happens to him and that it is truly satisfying as you cause it to happen. Even after the games 'conclusion' in FNAF3, there's still stuff to find and secrets to uncover. Overall a great game, and well worth the money.

Five nights at Freddy's is one of these games that's so simple and made by a single man which ends up being amazing the idea came from the other more family friendly games he was getting comments saying the animals look like animatronics I was thinking about quitting making games but then he decided to make a game and it went viral making youtubers emit it's one of the scariest games ever it's almost as hard as dark souls and makes some youtubers stop playing (foxy says sorry) after awhile the game may become not scary just hard and that's when the fan art came in all the shipping some people say that Scott was suspecting Freddy to be the most popular. But foxy steals the show by being special just plain awesome if he was real he would be running from his fan girls. That's what I think what do you think?

Five Nights at Freddy's or FNAF as sometimes shortened has taken the gaming world by storm it seems as a breakthrough hit of 2014 and a new darling of the independent scene. The game a simple point and click survival game seems pretty simple but has enough layers of complexities to make it interesting.

With all the buzz and hype surrounding it and a very passionate and vocal fanbase around it, it's no doubt causing enough of the love-it-or-hate it rift among gamers, with some saying this is incredible and other saying it's the worst thing to happen to games. Here is my take. Yes I do enjoy these series of games and this one caught me by surprise.

Survival Horror games lately have been something of a dying breed as the technology of games has improved incredibly the need of suspense has gone with it. Flashy graphics, high quality animations have subverted the need for old time spooky feelings. FNAF however is survival horror at its very basic because all you can do is survive.

While it is easy to write FNAF off as simply a game of nothing more than cheap jump-scares and it has plenty of them, the suspense of the game lies in playing with your auditory senses, before the robots come to scare you and your reflexes as you use only a few basic measures to keep your self alive. You don't walk around, you don't blast away zombies or other monsters, you sit and you open and close doors, check cameras to keep tabs on your foes and hold out enough power. It doesn't sound the most riveting but its the simplicity that captures the imagination. It's a very back to basics form of gaming that's been lost in the era of highly bloated budgeted games.

The scare factor wears off as the nights progress and FNAF becomes less of a scary game and more of a game of luck and stress management, especially when you delve into the extremely difficult mode by setting all AI program levels to max. Your patience and your tolerance for loud screeching sounds will be tested and for someone like me who has never been a fan of purely luck driven games somehow I managed to still find it enjoyable.

FNAF can scare you, bore you or just catch your imagination with the absurd amount of lore surrounding this game. Fans have really elevated a simple concept with a horrifying in-universe back story and Scott Cawthon has been all to happy to oblige by expanding on this and giving just enough taste of mystery and suspense to keep us coming for more.

Perhaps one of the most famous and infamous of viral sensations to emerge over the past few years is Scott Cawthon's wildly popular media franchise "Five Nights at Freddy's"- a horror series that started rather humbly with the release of this original game only two short years ago.

An independent point-and-click game, the narrative follows a night- watch security guard recently hired at the popular children's restaurant chain " Freddy Fazbear's Pizza." The gimmick of the restaurant being it's highly advanced cast of adorable animatronic animals who have the ability to roam freely, including the titular "Freddy." However, as there is fear that the animatronic's servos would lock up should they stop moving for prolonged periods of time, they are allowed to walk freely throughout the restaurant during the night... And it quickly becomes apparent that should one of these characters discover you during the night, you're in for a nasty surprise! And so, you must use a simplified control scheme to keep watch of the characters on CCTV monitors and try to keep them from discovering you by locking doors around you.

The graphics and controls are extremely simplistic, but that's a big part of the charm of the gameplay. You can't really run away- you're stuck and only have a limited supply of energy to close and lock the doors. It's an elegant and simple mechanic that inherently and quickly generates thrills and chills... being stuck in one place creates an automatic sense of claustrophobia and paranoia that works wonders for the atmosphere. Cawthon's design work is also top-notch, as not only do the animatronic's look true-to-life in comparison to those that exist in the real world (including the obvious reference to a certain mouse-based pizza place/arcade), but they're also quite startling and can quickly turn devious at the drop of a dime. The design-work for the building itself is very nice as well, with the usual "happy" look of a restaurant looking very spooky in the dark.

This is also a game (and a series as a whole) that rewards in-depth plot rumination and analysis. While you can play it simply based on its high-concept (and admittedly somewhat shallow) premise alone, there's a lot of very subtle imagery, suggestions of treachery and even some phenomenal sub-text that is evident throughout that hints of a greater storyline taking place. You can start to piece together the history of the going's on and theorize as to what exactly is causing all of the horror, and it adds a lot to the experience. Especially when played in context of the overall franchise, as each of the games slowly add more and more to the story as a whole.

Were I to lodge any complaints against it, it would be that the gameplay can become a bit monotonous over time (especially towards the end), it can be hard to get a handle on things and sometimes the subtle hints of backstory are... well... way too subtle. But that cannot detract from an otherwise pretty darned fun and entertaining new horror-phenomena. For only a few dollars on your phone's app- store or online, you could definitely do a lot worse. And it's definitely well-worth checking out for horror fans.

I give the original "Five Nights at Freddy's" a strong 8 out of 10.

When Scott Cawthon Made Some Christian Kids Games, Critics HATTED Them, Saying It The Characters Look Like Nightmares. Then Mr. Cawthon Got an Idea, an Awful Idea, Mr. Cawthon Got a Wonderfully Awful Idea. Making Five Nights at Freddy's. You Are Night Guard Working at Freddy Fazbear'd Pizzeria, But The Catch Is, The Animatronics Are Trying To Kill You. Unlike a Lot of Games You Stay In The Same Place, Your Office. The Gameplay Is Really Well Planed, It's Flawless. The Phone Calls Are Chilling, The Jumpscares Are, Well, Scary. Th A.I Is Great, And There's Near-To-No-Music, Making Every Crack And Thump Making You Jump & Paranoid, And There's So Many Creepy Secrets (Like Golden Freddy). And After The 5 Nights There's a Few Bonus Content: Night 6, A Harder Night, After That, Custom Night (Night 7), Where You Can Control The Animatronics. A True Masterpiece of Horror,

When FNAF was in its hayday in 2014, everyone was both scared of its jumpscares and curious to see if there was a deeper lore behind it. It turns out the jumpscares didn't last after a few days playing it and Scott Cawthon was making up the story as he went along, which no one could blame him.

One of the best horror games! You are a night guard working five nights at a haunted pizzeria. Keep an eye on the power and keep those haunted animatronics away! When you are done there is a sixth night and a costum night where you can desire what difficulty the night is going to be

The game is filled with tons of terrifying scares that are fun for teens and adults but too much for young kids which makes sense because it's for ages 12 and up. It is very challenging, fun and is filled with really cool characters. This game will definitely shock you up until night 5. Even though the sequels were good, this is still the most iconic and terrifying in an awesome way. Even now this is still a classic horror game with tons of scares.

It use to be fun at the time and now every since the fanbase was born, it got destroy by fan art and stupid stuff like that. And most people praise the game because of the storyline? What storyline? It's an indie game not a full pledge game. The fanbase is terrible like the Rick and Morty fanbase like they will attack you because of your opinion on this game! I'm not scared of them because they're little kids like 98% of them are. This is a terrible and very un scary game also quit it with the jumpscare already it's old now. Cringy fanbase, enough said! 1.5/10
