Woody Woodpecker has not fulfilled his quota of woodpecker holes and if he doesn't comply, mother nature will turn him into some sub-species. He goes to a scientist and purchases a mega-termite that he feels will be able to fool mother nature. The thing turns out to be an out-of-control eating machine that destroys the forest. Instead of putting holes in the trees, he shreds them. All of Woody's efforts are pretty much in vain. There is quite a bit of funny stuff as our woodpecker friend tries to get the termite imp to comply as the deadline approaches. This is pretty clever, with Woody uncharacteristically not in control of the situation.
