"UXO" is shorthand for "unexploded ordnance".

Kinetic op, or Kinetic operations, is just another phrase for lethal operations. That is, the killing of an enemy as oppose to disarming or taking away the ability to fight, such as jamming the communication equipment of a hostile party.

HAHO is short for High Altitude High Opening as oppose to HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) with respect to the opening of the parachute. One would conduct the latter in order to reduce the risk of enemy detection before landing.

MSR is short for Main Supply Route.

EOD is short for Explosive Ordinance Disposal.

A "Technical" in Military Parlance is a Non-Standard Tactical or Light Cavalry Vehicle.

An Arduino Board is an open-source ( free to review and use technology without restrictions by the copyright holder) electronics platform or board and the software used to program it. It can be used to create any powered device or a controller for a device, i.e clock, computer, etc.

DShK is is a Soviet heavy machine gun.

A "collapsing circuit" is a circuit designed to detect a failure of a target circuit and act accordingly (i.e. monitor voltage/amperage levels especially when a wire is cut, an element wears out, the load is detonated when the counter is disconnected).

The mission milestones seem to refer to American historical figures involved in the Texas Revolution (1835-1836), when Texas was a colony of Mexico: Travis, Bowie, Crockett, Austin, Houston, Fannin.

Great to see some interior shots of the Angeles Abbey Mausoleum in Compton which doubled for the mausoleum in Syria where the hostage in the story was being held. Since the mausoleum is usually kept locked, it is always a treat to be able to see the fabulous interior. There was even a quick shot of the famous Angelus stained glass window in the mausoleum.

The previous Episode 11 was reasonably accurate. This one not so accurate.

After the Democrat President Clinton 1993 Disaster of Operation Continue Hope that turned into the Battle of Mogadishu, the Deadly Lesson Learned was to carry a full backpack ("Rucksack", Alice Pack) of Ammunition, Critical Life Saving Medical Supplies (beyond just bandages),

We also started to carry old Vietnam War M-79 Grenade Launchers in addition to our Rifles, because could use any round, unlike the M203 Grenade Launcher mounted on an M-16, the 2 inch longer length of the M-79 seemed to increase range and accuracy.

Disarming a bomb made of artillery projectiles, take the electric detonators out of the noses of the projectiles, remove any "plastic explosives" from the detonators, cut the wires on the electrical detonators one at a time. With the detonators out of the projectiles if they are triggered, only a pop like a firecracker, no detonation of projectiles.
