Beauty and the Beast (1988) watch online HD

Surprisingly, this turned out to be a fairly faithful adaptation of the Beauty and the Beast fairytale, just with a whole lot of sex involved. Here, Tracey Adams plays Beauty, and the usually creepy Mike Horner is her peasant father. I say "usually creepy" because while he normally creeps me out pretty bad, he's quite funny here. In fact, it would almost appear he's doing a bit of a Roddy Piper imitation, at least in his mannerisms.

Anyway, Dad has to send Beauty to live with the Beast (John Leslie) for a while, and of course, she falls in love with him. The make-up effects for the beast (relegated just to his face and head) are astonishingly well-done. Beyond this, we have Beauty's sex-crazed sister (Nikki Nights) and Mother Goose (Alicia Monet), who randomly pops in to take part in the sex.

The real star of the film, though is Megan Lee (aka Megan Leigh) as the Beast's maid. She is so absolutely hot here that she steals every scene she's in. It's sad that she was around in the desolate world of late 80's porn, because she would have been a sure-fire star either five years earlier or later.

Overall, this is a fine, fun and FUNNY little porn flick. The humor is good (Leslie gets the best lines), most of the sex not involving Jerry Butler is hot and Mike Horner didn't give me the heebie jeebies.

Paul Thomas has come up with a real gem in this fun porn film from the good old days when porn films would be productions of high values. In this we have a witty script, good sets and costumes and a cast that at least tried some thespian quality. Admittedly, some liberties have been taken, such as characters from Robin Hood and Tom Byron's quotations from Shakespeare, but these all add to the enjoyment of the finished production. You have got to watch and listen to the Scrabble game between Mike Horner and John Leslie's Lord Beastington to realise how good this film is.

The sex action is, as one would expect, full on with some really stand-out (no pun intended) performances from Tracey Adams and Nikki Knights as Beauty and Eliza, the daughters of hapless Lyle Notapenny, played to comic perfection by Mike Horner. Another star here is Jacqueline Lorians who plays the maid waiting for her prince to come, much to the frustration of servant David (Tom Byron). Alicia Monet plays the narrator Mother Goose but she also gets in on the action when she feels the need. This is a porn film that requires close scrutiny for more than just the obvious reasons, so it is worth seeking out.

You've gotta love a well-made flick. This one certainly meets the goals it set for itself, including the sex, the humor, the sex, the costumes, the sex... you get the idea. One of my favorite scenes, besides the sex, was the beast playing scrabble with Mike Horner. Beast spells out "quastle" and insists this is the correct spelling for "castle". When Horner, keeping in mind that he is playing against a hideous and powerful beast, tries to delicately point out that "quastle" is not a real word, the beast delicately asks if he'd mentioned that he has a rack in the cellar (or something to that effect). This movie has all of the earmarks of quality film-making; good sets, believable costumes, enjoyable sex-scenes with beautiful women, silly dialogue (in the silly moments) and serious talk in the more tender moments (and yes, this movie did have a couple of those, as well), a solid story, and convincing acting.

None of this nonsense you see in modern porn exists during the era "Beauty and the Beast" was filmed. In "the good old days" we weren't subjected to extreme close-ups of some beautiful young lady staring into the camera, and we didn't have super-sized tits with huge scars (defying gravity as they seem to do today). This is why I prefer the "older" movies, like Beauty and the Beast; the women were natural and "real", there was a story along with the sex, and the dialogue wasn't weak. I haven't seen this movie in a long time, but since coming across it (absolutely NO pun intended) on IMDb, I think I'll track it down and get it on DVD. Definitely worth it!!

Paul Thomas shows how adept he was at light entertainment with this amusing take on the fairy tale. John Leslie as the beast proves once again that he was perhaps the finest actor in Adult Cinema.

As Beauty, Tracey Adams does a good job, but she is outshone by the supporting cast of femmes, notably Jacqueline Lorians as a servant girl who does a very fine Cockney accent and is sexy as hell to boot. Leslie's makeup is superb, way beyond the call of duty for a porn film, and adds much to the panache of his character.
