This movie is sort of a rip of of a Stephen King book/movie. Only it's not good. The acting is horrendous. There's a semi hot chick with nice knockers in a mustang convertible early on who absolutely ruins the attraction when she opens her mouth. She can't act herself out of a paper bag.

Her boy toy boyfriend is just as bad.

The story drones on and on with no direction. It's slow. It's boring. You will hate it.

A trio of townies in upstate, N.Y. break-in to homes. Sean (Eric Nelsen). Brian (Justiin A. Davis ) and Kerry ( Eden Brolin) are also recreational heroin users. A new couple moves into town. They have a chest full of money, unlocked and easily noticed by the movers with a c-note popping out of it. They also let it be known in town, the wife will be left alone on Thursday. Clearly a setup, one where I expected they were mafia looking for revenge.

At 18 minutes (mini Plot Spoiler) we discover they are witches with specific plans to satisfy their ruling demon.

I liked the fact I didn't know where the plot was going. I didn't like the socially awkward character of David (Ross Wellinger ) who reminded me of a sci-fi android that needs someone to bring out their feelings. I also didn't like his punk Bieber-Timberlake "beard". The film had some good scenes, but the plot seemed to move slow. The dialogue was very dry and at times "Twilight" bad. Didn't see the ending coming and where the heck did the baby come from? I think they missed a scene.

Guide: F-word, sex, nudity (Eden Brolin)

Its a devilish flick for sure, its blood bound so to speak, with witches, monsters, crooks, virgins, spells, enchantments and fear. its an esthetical piece of art in all its simlicity, the acting are at times very good and so are also the filmography. its not the most scary thing ive seen, but it has for sure an unexpected ending and are at times very emotional.

but the pace are far too slow, i'm not a profesional movie reviewer, so i can admit that i started the screening at normal, then rushed to 1,12, so 1,25 and in the end i took a dervish dance at 1,5 speed and almost forgot why the film ended so fast.unethical yes,but some flicks has a pace that can be adjusted without getting the bends anyway, so i cheated a little.....

they genre this film as a horror thriller, i will adjust that to psychological horror drama, because its all about existestial claustrophobia. i recommend a watch even though im just awarding it as a 6 star movie.the rest is up to you.

I will say the movie is not a bad one. It's a horror mixed with...well I think this is a dark version of Twilight.

It was not a good movie, but the acting was nice. As someone said, the chick needed to be hotter. You don't really feel for a decent chick, as you would a hot chick.

The movie is about a cursed family that needs to kill people and a member of his family every quarter century or so.

Three thieves break in and get a rude awakening. The movie needed more sex appeal really, but no a BAD movie, just a bit too much Twilight influence and a lot of the same pacing.

Not a bad movie, not very fun, but decent effort...just not my thing.

Pretty adult themes, I will give it a 6 easily.....some talent is int the movie....

"Blood Bound" is a weighted story, with family dynamics, personal conflict, and social complexities. On the surface it is a story about the occult, and overcoming supernatural evil. But to its depth it is a character melodrama pitting self identity against clan mentality. And aesthetically the juxtaposition between backdrops of scenic beauty against such dark and damaged characters is total arthouse.

At the beginning the story falters near to being forced, or convoluted. However it merely teeters there as characters become more developed and recognizable. It is mixed with some moments of quality acting and captivating storytelling. "Blood Bound" feels indie and at times it felt like a Lifetime movie, you know- the creepy kind they play during the Halloween season. I did keep asking "where's the horror"?!

There is some horror in the film but it comes nearly an hour into the story. The supernatural elements are slightly weak, mostly coming off as "make-believe". They seem too understated. The occult aspects beyond that are done nicely, and really give into the witchy vibe that LeMay is going for. Overall "Blood Bound" fails to gain any major ground as far as the horror, but the story is a good one and the film is worth checking out.

Wow, what a great flick! The movie is visually spot on and the cinematogrophy does a great job of marrying beautiful imagery with darkness and despair. Ultimately a story of karmic debt and bad choices made all around, but painted with a deft hand at storytelling. While measured in pace, the slow build leads to a big payoff, so it was worth it! The cast did a great job also!! Oh yeah, I really loved the score. Simple and Haunting!

If you are looking for a Rob Zombie gore fest then this is not the movie for you. But if you are looking for a creepy and (Bloody) tale of witches and demons told through the viewpoint of Generation Z then this is your film.

For lovers of "It follows", "Rosemary's baby", and "The Witch".

This is not only a surprise but a genuinely moving and creepy experience. The attention to detail is evident from the beginning and takes you on a slow, methodical journey to a dark and shocking conclusion. Highly recommend this film to anyone who likes good story telling. A+

So much to like about this film. First, Director Richard LeMay does an outstanding job in keeping the audience on their toes, as there are many twists and turns (hint, don't look away, you might miss something!). Second, the cast did a great job (Edin Brolin and Kevin S in particular) in getting you INVESTED in their characters. Last, the overall story keeps you on your toes. Typically, this isn't my type of genre, but I found myself addicted to "what will happen next." Loved the movie, will watch more of Mr. LeMay's work.
