Short summary

Using the Moomba festival crowds as cover, a gang of jewel thieves, headed by an American, keeps the police guessing. A report that a schoolboy has disappeared alerts detectives to more sinister activities.

The title of this episode comes from part of one possible meaning given to the Aboriginal word "Moomba", a word best known in Melbourne as the name of the festival that the episode is set during. The actual etymology of the word remains ambiguous.
