One of the "quota quickies" made to satisfy the 1927 Cinematograph Act, which required a certain percentage of films shown in the United Kingdom be produced there.

First film as Director of Photography for Arthur Grant.

Film debut for Louis Hayward, who was then a stage actor in England. He later came to Hollywood and became a leading actor from 1935. He appeared in many swashbucklers and other heroic roles.
