Deadly Ground is a short film noir thriller made in Scotland. Taking influence and inspiration from classic American Film Noirs including The Big Sleep, Gun Crazy and This Gun For Hire, as well as modern thrillers including Heat and Drive. Shot in stark black and white with a tense and uneasy tone, the film is quick paced and follows several characters through a world of shadows and faceless corporate greed. Rick (Jamie Forrest) and Eve (Jamie Melrose) are a young couple of grifters, working a job in Glasgow, Scotland. Rick is a skilled burglar and can infiltrate anywhere, Eve is a tactician and manipulative con artist. Hired by underground journalist Mack (David West) to steal incriminating documents from a Private Military and Security Company employee; Sinclair (Mark Wood) they are faced with consequences they are not used to from previous, smaller jobs.
