Isabel is an Associate at an old-school, boutique investment bank. She's the only woman at the office, other than the Executive Assistant, Brenda. We follow Isabel through a typical day in the office. Upon arrival, the team learns that one of their projects is a complete failure - they receive no bids for a client they are selling - and they have a pitch for a new prospect due the next day. Isabel's boss, Michael, determines that they should focus on the pitch giving Isabel's counterpart, Walter, all the important tasks. Isabel urges the team to redirect focus on the failing project pointing out opportunities to turn it around. Michael disapproves. Isabel decides to break the rules of hierarchy and office politics. She taps into her relationship with Brenda to access the client and secretly present her Plan B.
