*THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS* I have to say that the Australian TV Network DO really put-out some damn good quality TV series AND make some bloody good films along the way AND they've turned out some very good actors and at 65 I like to think I've seen one or two of them and SEA PATROL has been consistently,one of the best on an episode by episode ratio with excellent writing,good action,it not being stuck in a studio and very good acting. In this the final episode 'Dutchies' long-held suspicions about Madeleine batting for both teams are given some some credibility when the 'Hammersley' are searching the Coral Sea for a boat carrying a dirty-bomb because although they don't initially find it, what they DO find sets off a chain of events that lead to a situation so tragic it effects the lives of the whole 'family' on HMAS Hammersley. Have the tissues nearby.

I love watching the show Sea Patrol. But i hate the way they ended it. Jim and Swain shouldn't of died in that boat exsplosion like it showed in the last episode. Plus what was said about what the crew done since that faithfully day where they saw a close friend, Hammersley family died before there eyes would shock any one. What metals did the crew get beside Jim and swain getting the Victoria cross for what they did? But it leave a number of unanswered questions. Did Kate get promoted. Did Ryan rejoin the navy? What happen to spider, Nav, buffer. bomber and chefo? It a shame that there wasn't two more seasons of the show where it showed mike and Kate getting engage, married and birth of there first child. Plus it one way to bring back Spider, Nav, buffer, bomber and chefo for an episode or two so we would know what happen to them. did buffer and Nav get together or stay as friends?
