Short summary

Ezra's team takes drastic action to free Lothal, entering Imperial HQ, and Thrawn returns to stop them; Ezra must surrender and confront a greater evil.

The interior of the shield generator in Lothal City Imperial HQ is inspired by the power corridor in the Endor bunker seen in Звёздные войны. Эпизод 6: Возвращение джедая (1983).

The working titles for "Family Reunion and Farewell" were "The Light of Lothal" parts one and two.

Ahsoka Tano survives until sometime after the Battle of Endor.

The older version of Sabine wears the Rebel symbol painted on her right shoulder pad and a Purgill on her left.

This episode sets up a follow up series following Ahsoka & Sabine in their search for Ezra in the Unknown Reaches (this is where The First Order and Snoke originate in the Sequel Trilogy thirty years following ROTJ).

When first Star Wars Rebels came out, i did not believed there is so much in it. I was skeptic about how the script will fix things and sometimes i was intrigued about how the writer will explain all about. At the end, there will be light. I believe it is the best and closest sw script to originals. I cried at the end. Good Job.

Incredible ending for this series. It started not so good, a lot more childish than Clone Wars, but this ending arc was amazing. Get the guy who took care of the Rebels and Clone wars to take care also of the big screen ones. Amazing characters, crying at the end of the both series while the new big screen ones had no emotion and so poor character development. Even the secondary characters were better created than any of the big screen ones.

I am so happy for the window left opened at this ending. It could make an amazing return to see Ashoka and Sabine working together. Also Hera, Zeb and Rex are such amazing characters. Seeing them on the big screen would be huge, but I am happy also to see a new series. :)

I totally forgot, while watching, that this is an animated (movie/ film/ episode whatever). I had to hold back tears / emotion at the end. Beautiful. stunning; georg... and danmi.. have described it much better than I can. But yes- this is what the saga is all about. Action!, Emotion, Heroism, and a solid entertaining story. Thank you Cast & Crew! Keep up the good work. Who needs the big screen? Or maybe an animated movie for it?

As with Rogue One, it's important to remember that so many story's exist within the Star Wars universe. The whole series was beautifully scripted and Rebels is a story of growth from the innocence of Ezra in Season 1 to his fulfilment of his Jedis journey and the loss of his master in season 4.

A beautiful ending that leaves a chance of more stories from these characters and perhaps the truth behind the character DJ from the last Jedi and those similar scars.

When The Clone Wars ended, I was upset and disappointed, I was unsure whether to watch the Rebels series or not, but I decided to give it a go. It took a while, but this series has grown on me, the show is well written, the characters are unique and interesting and if you like Ahsoka Tano, you won't be disappointed, as she makes a return in Rebels. The last season is far from perfect, but there is more than one brilliant episode, with moments that pull on the heartstrings.

In my opinion, the finale is simply fantastic and I can happily say, it's as good as anything that The Clone Wars had to offer and it puts The Last Jedi to shame comfortably. Actually, I'm kind of disappointed that the Clone Wars is returning and we won't get a spin off of this particular series. I hope that one day a series is created, where we get to see new adventures featuring a grown up Ezra, potentially alongside Ahsoka.
