Barry Otto stars as the concierge of an elegant apartment building where he closely observes and stage manages the lives of its residents as if they are all members of his extended family. He cares for them and covers for them - he is friend, confidante and father figure to them all. However, one night when some of the younger members become involved in a series of complicated liaisons, he believes they should be taught a lesson! La Meme Nuit is an extremely stylish, beautifully observed and often hilarious short film which screened at the Flickerfest Short Film Festival in Sydney in January 2007. The film also won the Audience Best Film Award at the 2006 Sydney Film School Awards.
