Can it get into the newspapers that a prisoner has been pardoned before the one who has petitioned the Governor has left the executive mansion ? Perhaps. It seems to have fallen that way in this picture. Yet, after all the people seem to accept such things every day. This will probably be enjoyed by many although it is a most plainly commercial and improbable story. The sets, acting and photography are fair. - The Moving Picture World, June 6, 1914
