Hawaii Five-O Frozen Assets (1968–1980) watch online HD

By the end of the tenth season, "Hawaii Five-O" was seriously in jeopardy of repeating itself. After all, hundreds of shows had already been shown. However, "Frozen Assets" manages to be fresh and a nice change of pace.

Mildred Natwick stars Miss Shade--a woman very much like the private detective she played in the TV series "The Snoop Sisters". Here in "Hawaii Five-O" she is an Agatha Christie sort of writer who has dozens of detective novels to her credit. And, because she's written so many of these, she seems to see herself as quite the amateur detective herself.

The show begins with Miss Shade visiting at a Hawaiian clinic where they claim to be able to cryogenically suspend people who are terminally ill. She pretends to be interested, but in reality, Shade thinks they are crooks and she's doing a bit of snooping. Next, she meets with the Governor and McGarrett to tell them her suspicions that they actually murdered a rich friend of hers to get her assets. But McGarrett is up against a wall--there just isn't much he can dig up on the place. So, all on her own, she goes back to the clinic and signs herself up! What's next? See this clever yet strange episode.

The idea of blending an Agatha Christie sort of story with "Hawaii Five-O" is pretty unique and clever. It also helps that Miss Natwick starred in this one, as she was a terribly underrated actress and made the show fun. Well worth seeing.
