    Nice, Carnaval (N° 1) (1897)

It appears that the Lumiere Brothers captured quite a bit of footage from a carnival that was going on in Nice. They released several movies under the same title (with just a different number) and this one here has a camera stations on the street as various performers walk pass it. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking here but if you're a fan of these old actuality movies then I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The film manages to be rather entertaining simply because it gives you a chance to see a form of entertainment from this era. The costumes that the people are wearing look quite good and for the most part this was entertaining.
