A journey through the last ten years in the brief life of Italian poet Antonia Pozzi. This is the portrait of an artist and of her art set in 1930s Milan.

No stunts were used for the climbing sequence, the actress was actually climbing on the sheer rock face together with legendary climber Hervé Barmasse.

Most scenes of the film are specifically inspired and deduced by Antonia Pozzi's poems, photographs, and what remains of her letters, as many of them were burned by her father after her death.

Many locations used in the film are real places from Antonia Pozzi's life in Milan, in Pasturo and in the mountains above it.
