» » Leaving Town (2007)

Short summary

Davey and Max have pulled off a job behind Walter Marconi's back. They thought they got away with "murder". But when the guy they had to kill turns out to be the right hand man of the "Guy from Chi-town", and Walter finds out, they have no choice but to leave town. Journey through the night with Davey and Loose Cannon Larry, a psychotic killer with no conscience, as Davey kills his own associates for their money, so that he and his family can survive on the run for the rest of their lives.

Michael Loris was originally cast as Davey, but Drew Waters ended up with the role after the producers felt he filled the role better than Loris.

Sonja Lynn was the third actress cast as Richie's Girl. The first never showed up to set and the second backed out with just enough time for the producers to cast Lynn.

Dustan Costine was cast as Bobby after the original actor fell off a ladder hanging Christmas lights and was physically unable to act in the movie.

For their work on this film, Christopher Compton was nominated Best Editor, Jodie Moore was nominated Best Supporting Actor, Mason Compton was nominated Best Cinematographer, Sam Ross and Treetop were nominated for Best Score. While they didn't win in their individual categories, the film won the Studio Choice Award, which was awarded by The Studios at Las Colinas.
